“where people care about each other”

What we do…

The Salt Spring Seniors Services Society is a not-for-profit organization that strives to enhance and improve the lives of those aging on Salt Spring Island.

We host Lunches and Coffee Clubs where Seniors can meet, provide space for recreational activities like Mah Jong and bridge, and support our choirs and other musical groups. Our volunteers drive people to their medical appointments, both on and off the Island.

We receive funding from government and community groups for some of our programs, but we rely on generous community donations to keep our operations going. You can use e-transfer, credit card, cheque or simply come into the centre to make a cash donation. Any donation $20 or more is tax deductible.

We appreciate all contributions.

Our Seniors Medical Rides Service provides drives on-island, and to Duncan, Nanaimo, Sidney, and Victoria for medical appointments.
