Service Description
BC Ferries offers their Experience Card which provides discounts on rates when used to purchase tickets; it is not used to make online bookings or for onboard purchases. The card must be registered and pre-loaded with a minimum amount of funds.
BC Ferries also uses Island Health’s Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) form to provide reduced fares for travel to scheduled medical appointments. This can cover both the passenger and an escort when necessary. The form is provided by the passenger’s doctor before travel and must be registered by phone before arriving at the ferry terminal ticket kiosk.
